Converting Machine Operator
Department: Manufacturing Operations
Job Location: Black Creek, GA
Position Description: We are seeking an experienced, highly successful, detailed-oriented, Converting Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will set-up, operate and tend to the Converting Machines.
Starting Salary/Wage: Commensurate with experience
Essential Functions:
-
Adjust machine settings for appropriate product.
-
Test and maintain machinery to ensure proper function.
-
Change computer program parameters as appropriate.
-
Perform quality checks to secure proper operations.
-
Print barcodes, and work with Business Express Software.
-
Drives and operates a forklift to load and unload product from machine.

Maintains production records and appropriate documentation
Additional Responsibilities:
-
Follows prescribed safety regulations.
-
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Converting Manager/Supervisor or other members of the management team.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
-
High School diploma or equivalent required
-
3 - 5 years Machine Operator experience
-
Manufacturing experience preferred
-
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 70 lbs. regularly
-
Required ability to stand for extended periods of time;
-
Must be able to walk, stretch, reach, crawl and grasp objects;
-
Required to bend, stoop, climb, crawl or kneel occasionally;
-
Ability to follow directions, work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
-
PC skills, strong written and oral communication skills required;
-
Required forklift certification and ability to operate machinery;
-
Previous experience operating machinery preferred
